Project: Common Ground Through Camp Social Media Campaign

Event: Global Camping Conference (2018)

Client: YMCA

Role: Art Direction / Design

YMCA’s Global Camping Conference supports its global movement to advance program quality, collaboration and leadership in camping while strengthening the diversity, inclusion and global engagement efforts of YMCA camps around the world.

In 2018, the conference took place in Estes Park, Colorado and convened more than 400 resident camp leaders and volunteers from more than 30 countries.

The media campaign was created in alignment with the YMCA global brand, and supported event promotion in social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) at international, national, and local levels.

To ensure authenticity,  images taken during past events in the Colorado Rocky Mountain region were pulled from the national YMCA brand library. Care was taken to represent the diverse global community of YMCA staff and campers.

The initial campaign laid the groundwork for other departments to expand the graphics for use in event registration pages, direct mail, and conference presentation decks.
