Project: Fremont Solstice Parade Poster (2004)
Client: Fremont Arts Council (Seattle)
Role: Designer + Art Director
For the first time in the 16 years of its annual Solstice Parade, the Fremont Arts Council produced a limited-edition silkscreen poster commemorating this popular Seattle tradition.
The poster is set in Seattle’s Gasworks Park, where the parade ends and the picnic and pageant begin. The poster was drawn by hand and incorporates custom type inspired by vintage posters.
Proceeds from the poster sales helped fund the costs of running this cherished event.
