#Words of Courage

Words of Courage is a vibrant example of how Partners in Print (PiP) uses the power of the press to help amplify the voices of our most vulnerable community members. This longstanding annual partnership, which began in the letterpress printing program at the School of Visual Concepts, is a collaboration between PiP and Seattle Arts and Lectures’ Writers in the Schools program. It has generated hundreds of poetry broadsides written by patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital, all of which were designed, illustrated, and letterpress printed by members of the PiP and SVC letterpress communities.
