Using the letters that spell the word “Congratulations”, this accordion-fold book examines the story type tells when it’s treated as imagery.
Each book was created from one single sheet, with each printed layer of type designed in reaction to the previous — an exercise in spontaneity and the catharsis of being fully present in the moment. The sheet was then trimmed into 3 parts and re-composed to convey the story arc of a crescendo building intoan explosive emotion that fills the page.
Letterpress printed on a Colt’s Armory platen press and hand-bound in an edition of 5.
