Each book was created from one single sheet, with each printed layer of type designed in reaction to the previous \u2014 an exercise in spontaneity and the catharsis of being fully present in the moment. The sheet was then trimmed into 3 parts and re-composed into pages sequenced to visually convey\u0003the beginning, middle, and end of the \u201ccall and response\u201d dialog between the author and the letterforms.<\/p>\n

Amada Press<\/a> is the private letterpress studio of Seattle visual artist and designer Amy Redmond. The main focus of her work is on handset typography using metal and wood type.
