With the clock running, the print spontaneously came to life as each pass came off the press \u2014\u00a0an exercise in the catharsis of being fully present in the moment. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">The result is a visual conversation between the artist and her tools<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, and inspired another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amyredmond.com\/amadapress\/prints\/tag\/ei-series\/\">iterative series of prints<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This print is composed of metal and wood types, set by hand one character at a time, and overprinted in several layers.\u00a0<\/span>The type characters used are:\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">I H 7 ! J T<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Designed &amp; letterpress printed Amy Redmond in an edition of 50, using a Colt\u2019s Armory platen press.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/amadapress.com\">Amada Press<\/a> is the private letterpress studio of Seattle visual artist &amp; designer Amy Redmond. The main focus of her work is on handset typography using metal and wood type.
