Seeds of Compassion Event Logo & T-Shirt October 2007
Seeds of Compassion had a logo for their organization, but needed a public-facing one for the event that would bring His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Seattle in April 2008. The mark you see here was the one they chose for the event.
The logo is a balance of eastern and western cultures; the gold heart is widely known as a symbol of caring, while the red lotus surrounding it is the Buddhist symbol for compassion. Together the two symbols show that compassion grows from within.
The mark was used on everything from stages and programs to t-shirts like the one shown here. It even became one volunteer's tattoo.
